This RARE ANTIQUE oil painting of Our Blessed Mother is in a portrait setting . The Virgin Mary ‘s wardrobe is in her traditional colors of Blue, and Red. As you examine the portrait I have tried to show the 13 stars that are forming her celestial halo with the brightest star being visible to the right side of the Sacred Mother which depicts herself amongst the 12 original disciples / apostles.
This very RARE portrait of the Holy Mother is an amazing piece for that serious collector, or just a beautiful work of art to be hung in a place of prominence.
Please note the dates, 1773 ( year of its creation ). along with the inscription dated , 1889, that highlights (on the backside ) the portrait's journey that has been highlited in Castillon ( European Spsnish ) .
