Beautifully perserved, this Religious Oil Painting , Retablo, is of a complex design.

Mary is pulling a naked man from a dragon's mouth ( depicting the devil ) and Christ is collecting men's souls from a basket that is being offered by an angel.

Retablos invariably reflect the original painting, making identifcation of this Virgin quite easy. The original depiction was painted in Spain, and variations of this particular subject have been found in Central America, and Mexico . .

As depicted in this work of religious art, the two small angels are always shown supporting the crown that is bestowed upon Mary from Our Holy Father, and is positioned over Mary's head .

The monster, which often varies in size, depicts the calmness of The Blessed Virgin Mary which is unshakable by her Christian Faith. The individual, she so easily grasps, is also constant in her devotion and trustful faith.
