Description

Cork was first used by decoy makers of the East Coast (Long Island area primarily) after the turn of the century (somewhere around WWI). This amazing waterfowl decoy has great age-worthy characteristics that are only enhanced with the visible signs of actual use. The head is wrapped in canvas, and finished with a thin coat of gesso and paint. The cord, attached to the rusted antique chain links, has been replaced.
